Amazon Science in Seattle is seeking an Applied Science Manager to lead a talented science team focused on Prime Video personalization and recommendation technologies.

You will own the end-to-end model development, collaborate with software engineers and product managers, and drive state-of-the-art techniques from research to production, delivering improved experiences to millions of Amazon customers.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree with 6+ years of applied research experience.
• 3+ years of scientists or ML engineers management experience.
• 4+ years of applied research experience.
• 3+ years building machine learning models for business applications.
• Knowledge of ML, NLP, Information Retrieval and Analytics.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related languages.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.

Responsabilités

• Lead to develop AI solutions for Prime Video recommendation and personalization using Deep learning, GenAI, RL, and related methods.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to design, implement and launch AI solutions end-to-end.
• Effectively communicate technical and non-technical ideas with teammates and stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements and latest modeling techniques in the field.
• Hire and grow a science team working in video personalization domain.
