Job summary

KETTLER is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician in Washington, DC, to perform general maintenance, repairs in apartments and buildings, and ensure curb appeal and quality of homes. Responsibilities include responding to resident service requests across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance systems, with preventive maintenance and make-ready tasks as part of the role.

The position requires 3+ years of experience, EPA/CFC certification, and the ability to handle after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of apartment maintenance experience.
• EPA/CFC universal certification.
• Mastery of appliance, electrical and plumbing repair.
• Strong HVAC repair knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license; live within 30 minutes.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• On-call after hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all maintenance projects.
• Repair property grounds, apartments, and building exteriors.
• AssistMaintenance Manager with budgets and admin tasks.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests; troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all systems.
• Complete make-ready process for vacant units; inspect work.
• Provide courteous customer service to residents.
• Other duties as assigned.
