Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of assay theory and chemistry principles.
• Proficient with fire assay, lab instrumentation, digestion, and sample prep.
• Experience with predictive and preventative maintenance and environmental compliance.
• Hazardous materials training and applications.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Leadership qualities and ability to guide a team.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production analytical hourly workforce in the Analytical Laboratory.
• Schedule and provide resources for production analytical work.
• Guide, direct, and motivate lab personnel.
• Communicate with peers and management.
• Maximize utilization of lab equipment with safety and compliance.
• Prepare Work Orders and interface with Maintenance.
• Execute and document Preventive Maintenance activities.
• Oversee daily workflow of assigned crew and coordinate with others.
• Provide constructive performance feedback to direct reports.
• Ensure technicians have tools, knowledge, and skills to perform duties safely.
• Other duties as assigned.
