Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Statesville, NC is seeking a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician to guide a team of technicians, ensuring timely, high-quality maintenance and strict FAA compliance. You will manage multiple projects, train staff, and coordinate with customers on project management and pricing.

The role requires 8+ years in aviation maintenance and 4+ years on program-specific airframes, with a high school diploma and an A&P license. A valid driver’s license may be preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and Airframe and Powerplant License are required.
• 8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred.
• 4+ years in program specific airframes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to complete the necessary jobs/tasks and manage day-to-day tasks.
• Supervise team members in daily workload and ensure quality.
• Train/mentor technicians assigned to projects.
• Work with customer in project management, pricing and customer support roles.
• Ensure all work complies with FAA guidelines and safety rules.
