Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. seeks a Gulfstream Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician to guide a team of technicians in delivering high-quality maintenance for Gulfstream airframes.

The role emphasizes leadership, problem solving, and precise execution in a fast-paced hangar environment. You’ll oversee project flow, mentor junior technicians, ensure compliance with FAA guidelines, and coordinate with operations to meet schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and FAA Airframe and Powerplant license required.
• 4+ years in program-specific airframes.
• 8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for airline travel and/or valid passport ideal.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to complete jobs and manage day-to-day tasks with input from supervision.
• Implement strong turnover of work to the next shift and ensure smooth handoffs.
• Identify opportunities to reduce aircraft turn time and improve efficiency.
• Train/mentor technicians on assigned projects and supervise daily workload.
