Job summary

Johnson Controls in New Freedom, PA, is seeking a Chiller Engineering Manager to lead the global Air Cooled Chiller Product Engineering team onsite at the Advanced Engineering and Development Center. You will guide a talented group through design, development, and launch of new chillers while evolving existing platforms.

You will align engineering, PM, and cross-functional stakeholders, secure resources, and drive projects from concept to commercialization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8+ years in thermal engineering, heat transfer, refrigeration and components.
• 1+ year as a Manager/Lead; able to lead 5+ engineers; travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Maintain in-depth understanding of theories, concepts, technical principles and processes related to air-cooled chillers.
• Lead engineering activities in refrigeration components selection and system design to meet product specification.
• Develop and execute test programs to verify performance and reliability of mechanical sub-components and systems.
• Lead development and sustainment projects with cross-functional teams for on-time completion.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers to develop technical competency.
• Lead a team of 5–10 engineers.
