Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Air Cooled Chiller Technical Specialist to support innovation and performance of our chiller portfolio. This onsite role will collaborate with engineering teams, troubleshoot systems, and help bring product enhancements to life.

The position is based at our Advanced Engineering and Development Center in New Freedom, PA. Candidates must be commuting distance or relocate. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experiences.
• Knowledge of refrigeration system operation, fabrication and service processes.
• Knowledge of mechanical components and systems, such as metal structures, machinery, and fluid flow.
• Familiar with product development process.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Leads test setup for components, subsystems, and chillers; communicates plans and monitors progress.
• Arranges procurement and fabrication of parts.
• Organizes test data and assesses measurement accuracy.
• Coordinates design across departments for testing purposes.
• Drafts sketches and lab layouts for chiller components.
• Troubleshoots issues and recommends solutions.
• Communicates technical information clearly in multiple formats.
• Learns codes and standards relevant to the role.
• Manages complex test projects to ensure on-time completion.
• Produces technical documentation for tests.
