Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers with IEP and behavior plans as directed.

  • Supervise students during breaks and meals for safety.
  • Document attendance and report records as required.
  • Assist with transportation transitions and classroom moves.
  • Support in maintaining a safe, clean school environment.

Job Title:Lead Aide IPay Range:Based on experienceJob Description:Point Quest is Hiring a Lead Aide IPay: $24.00–$26.00/ hour - Full-time; benefits eligible - School sites -Travel required; mileage reimbursement eligible - Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insuranceThe purpose of the position is to work closely with district teachers and behavioral aides to support them in their duties while providing behavioral support to students.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Academic & Behavioral SupportAssists the teacher with implementing the students' Individual Education Plans (IEP)Able to understand and implement a BIPProvides instructional support in content areas, as directed by the teacherParticipate in, and/or facilitate recreational activities of various sorts (i.e. athletic, arts, and crafts, off-campus trips, cultural awareness, etc.).Implement provided written assignments, as neededDocument and report all legal, education, and service records/files as needed.Supports in record keeping, as directed by the teacherImplements the classroom or social behavior management system, including coaching students so that they can quickly return to school tasksSkill CompetenciesReview and evaluate the performance of all staff members to ensure the proper implementation of treatment/behavioral plans daily.Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.Collaborate with school personnel with behavior support strategies.Active SupervisionHelps maintain the physical school environment to keep it functional, safe, and cleanSupervises students during class breaks and during lunch.Assists students with eating, using the bathroom and moving from one classroom to another.Maintains consistent awareness of client's whereabouts to ensure safety, including directing clients to appropriate groups or areas in the community or school.
