Job summary

Veeam Software, Inc. seeks a Lead Domain Engineering Specialist to collaborate with CSEs and AEs, driving security-related outcomes within the Veeam Data Platform.

You will lead readiness checks, data modeling, and risk conversations with CISO/CIO stakeholders while monitoring telemetry and maturity against the DRMM to optimize posture and identify expansion opportunities. The role requires 5+ years in cybersecurity/data security/AI platforms, a technical degree, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in engineering or architecture roles focused on cybersecurity, data security, or AI/ML platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; advanced degree preferred.
• Certifications like CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+; AI security governance certs are a plus.
• Deep expertise in data security and governance across cloud, SaaS, and hybrid environments.
• Hands-on AI security experience with governance or platforms (AI-SPM, data privacy automation).
• Familiar with AI risk management, telemetry, observability, and model lifecycle security.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers on security products, architectures, and risk topics across the VDP.
• Lead readiness checks and data modeling to validate designs and accelerate decisions.
• Monitor attack surfaces, vulnerabilities, telemetry signals, and report trends.
• Validate designs to de-risk adoption and accelerate time to value.
• Identify expansion opportunities and review consumption trends with stakeholders.
• Engage CISO/CIO stakeholders for risk, status, and opportunity discussions.
• Support AEs on security- and AI-driven expansion motions; influence roadmap priorities.
• Operate as a pooled resource across Enterprise and Commercial-Named accounts.
