Job summary

Ladders is seeking an AI Manager - Language Models to lead large language model–driven ML solutions in a remote US role. You will guide projects from concept through production, shaping how AI enhances public safety workflows, including 911 call handling and dispatch.

You will partner with infrastructure engineers and researchers to bridge experimentation and deployment, build reusable components, and mentor teams to deliver reliable, scalable AI systems in production.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in machine learning or a related quantitative field.
• 2+ years of direct management experience leading technical teams.
• Experience managing an LLM-based solution from inception to market.
• Experience with cloud-based software engineering.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of large language model–driven machine learning solutions.
• Work across all stages of the machine learning lifecycle.
• Apply knowledge to public safety application areas like 911 call handling and dispatch.
• Collaborate with infrastructure engineers and research scientists.
• Create reusable components for integration between research and production teams.
