Pearson is seeking a Lead Specialist, AI Data & Knowledge Architect to design the knowledge foundation for Pearson’s next generation of intelligent K–12 assessment and learning systems.

You will build a layered knowledge graph, select ontologies, and ensure extensibility across domains while collaborating with software engineers to integrate the knowledge layer into the authoring system.

Formación

• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in CS/AI/related field.
• Experience designing and building knowledge graphs in production.
• Hands-on knowledge modeling and semantic schema design.
• Strong command of graph & semantic technologies and their tradeoffs.
• Strong data architecture skills: modeling, pipelines, versioning, provenance, lineage.
• Strong Python programming ability and API development.
• Deep understanding of predictive and generative AI, retrieval-grounded systems.
• Proven track record of building novel systems with high autonomy.
• Ability to translate multi-disciplinary knowledge into computable representations.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build the knowledge graph and underlying model for assessment domains.
• Represent standards, competencies, skills, claims, evidence, and content as computable structures.
• Ensure extensibility across content areas and future AI capabilities.
• Establish identity, versioning, provenance, and lineage for knowledge objects.
• Separate authoritative knowledge from derived information and machine-generated hypotheses.
• Evaluate graph and semantic technologies for extensibility and interoperability.
• Create pipelines that connect item banks, standards, metadata, psychometric data.
• Develop schemas, APIs, data contracts, and services for knowledge access.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate the knowledge layer into the authoring system.
