Pearson is seeking a Lead Specialist, AI Data & Knowledge Architect to design and build the knowledge foundation for its intelligent K–12 assessment and learning systems. This founding role sits in the Measurement & Learning team, intersecting content, learning science, AI, and psychometrics.

You will design a scalable knowledge graph, define ontologies and schemas, and collaborate with software engineers to integrate the knowledge layer across assessment authoring systems.

Formación

• Advanced degree in CS, AI, Info Science, Knowledge Engineering, or related field.
• Experience designing and building knowledge graphs in production or applied settings.
• Hands-on knowledge modeling and semantic schema design using ontologies, vocabularies, taxonomies.
• Strong command of graph and semantic technologies (RDF, OWL, SHACL, SPARQL, property graphs).
• Strong data architecture skills including modeling, pipelines, identity, versioning, provenance.
• Strong Python programming ability with API development.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build the knowledge graph and underlying knowledge model for assessment domains.
• Represent standards, competencies, skills, claims, evidence, and task characteristics as computational structures.
• Establish extensibility across content areas and future AI capabilities.
• Establish approaches for stable identity, versioning, provenance, and lifecycle status of knowledge objects.
• Clearly separate authoritative knowledge, expert judgments, derived information, and machine-generated hypotheses.
• Evaluate and select graph and semantic technologies for extensibility and interoperability.
• Build pipelines and mappings connecting item banks, standards, metadata, psychometric data.
• Develop schemas, APIs, data contracts, and services for knowledge access.
• Partner with software engineers to integrate the knowledge layer into the assessment system.
