Pearson seeks a Lead Specialist, AI Data & Knowledge Architect to design and implement a scalable knowledge foundation for next-gen K–12 assessment systems. You will shape a layered knowledge graph, ensuring traceable, computable representations of standards, skills, evidence, and content that AI agents can reason over.

The role blends content development, learning science, AI, and psychometrics, with a strong emphasis on autonomy, experimentation, and architectural judgments.

Formación

• Advanced degree in CS/AI/Info Science or related field.
• Experience designing and building knowledge graphs in production.
• Hands-on knowledge modeling and semantic schema design using ontologies, vocabularies, taxonomies.
• Strong command of graph and semantic technologies (RDF, OWL, SHACL, SPARQL).
• Strong data architecture skills: modeling, pipelines, identity, provenance, lineage.
• Strong Python programming ability with API development experience.
• Deep understanding of predictive and generative AI and retrieval-grounded systems.
• Track record of building novel systems where no established solution existed.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build the knowledge graph and knowledge model for assessment domains.
• Represent standards, competencies, skills, claims, evidence, and content as computable structures.
• Ensure extensibility across content areas and future AI capabilities.
• Establish identity, versioning, provenance, and lifecycle for knowledge objects.
• Separate authoritative knowledge from machine-generated hypotheses.
• Evaluate graph/semantic tech for extensibility, interoperability, and maintainability.
• Build pipelines connecting item banks, standards, metadata, psychometric data.
• Develop schemas, APIs, and data contracts to access knowledge architecture.
• Partner with software engineers to integrate the knowledge layer into the authoring system.
