Bain & Company, Inc. seeks an AI Engineer in its Applied Technology & AI practice to design, build, and ship generative AI systems for enterprise clients.

You will work hands-on across the full development lifecycle, from prototyping to production deployment, collaborating with senior engineers, product managers, and data scientists. In this role you will contribute to multi-agent pipelines, leverage RAG and prompt engineering, and help shape responsible AI practices while growing into technical

Formación

• 3–5+ years in software/ML/AI roles with hands-on building responsibilities.
• Experience shipping generative AI features or systems end-to-end.
• Strong communication with non-technical stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with evaluation design and experimentation frameworks for LLM apps.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of end-to-end generative AI systems.
• Build multi-component AI pipelines including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and embeddings.
• Implement reasoning, tool use, function calling, and orchestration across AI workflows.
• Design and maintain APIs, microservices, and cloud-native deployments with observability.
• Partner with product, engineering, data science, ethics, and infrastructure teams.
