Job summary

MMS Group is seeking an experienced Property Manager for an affordable housing 123-unit residential property in Brooklyn, NY. The role focuses on ensuring operational and financial success, staff development, and maintaining high resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities include property operations, rent collection, maintenance coordination, budget oversight, and compliance with Section 8 and LIHTC programs. Strong leadership and organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of residential multifamily property management or real estate management experience.
• Minimum two years of affordable housing experience.
• Associate degree in Marketing and/or Business preferred.
• Experience with Section 8, LIHTC and voucher submission.
• LIHTC Certification preferred.
• Proficient in RealPage OneSite or similar property management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily property operations.
• Collect rent and other fees from residents.
• Address resident concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Coordinate with maintenance for preventive maintenance and timely repairs.
• Prepare and monitor operating budgets; plan community capital improvements and negotiations.
• Handle accounting functions including invoices, evictions, and resident accounts.
• Hire, train, and supervise site staff.
• Conduct regular property inspections to maintain standards.
• Complete income verification to ensure eligibility with government regulations.
• Perform additional duties as outlined in the job description.
