L3Harris Technologies in Orlando, FL is seeking a motivated Lead Mechanical Engineer (Structural Analysis) to oversee the structural analysis of aerospace and defense hardware used in flight and ground equipment. You will mentor analysts, collaborate with design, test, manufacturing, and program teams, and drive complex analyses from concept through post-flight data review.

The role requires leading static and dynamic analyses, developing verification approaches, and preparing technical reports.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 9+ years of Mechanical/Structural Analysis experience
• Experience leading structural analyses of hardware and assemblies using hand calculations and FEA
• Strong background in stress, vibration, and loads for aerospace/defense hardware
• Experience with fatigue, damage tolerance, and crack-growth analysis
• Familiarity with Ansys or Creo Simulate is preferred

Responsabilidades

• Lead static and dynamic structural analyses for flight and ground hardware
• Verify structures meet internal and customer requirements (strength, stiffness, vibration, shock)
• Lead structural dynamics testing and correlate results with analysis
• Develop and communicate analysis reports and technical recommendations
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and coordinate cross-functional teams
