Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and minimum 12 years of mechanical design experience; graduate degree with 10+ years preferred.
• In lieu of a degree, at least 16 years of mechanical design experience.
• Experience with Creo 8.0 or later and large assembly management.
• Familiarity with ASME Y14.5-1994 and detailed documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of aerospace structure designs including assemblies and bracket designs.
• Guide and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Perform design verification and GD&T activities.
• Communicate with technical and non-technical professionals at all levels.
• Oversee design and documentation efforts for complex programs.
• Plan and direct engineering work in fabrication and testing of equipment.
• Ensure on-time delivery and manage critical schedule milestones.
• Travel up to 20% and pursue security clearance as needed.
