Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Manager of Quality Inspection to lead a team responsible for incoming, in-process, and final inspections, ensuring conformance to engineering and regulatory requirements. The role drives continuous improvement of inspection processes and systems, mentoring staff and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• University Degree, or equivalent experience, and minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree and minimum 5 years of experience.
• Must be a U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations.
• Two years in quality/operations leadership preferred.
• Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection.
• Aerospace inspection experience and GD&T proficiency.
• Experience with vision and contact-based measuring systems and PC-DMIS.
• Experience with nondestructive testing methods.
• Continuous improvement certifications (CORE, Lean, Six Sigma, Red X).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Directs inspection activities to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Develops inspection plans, balances inspector workloads, and oversees documentation of inspection results.
• Determines inspection methods to maintain efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provides feedback on quality issues, monitors corrective actions, and coaches team members.
