Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace US LLC in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Principal Project Engineer to lead the development of avionics and flight deck technologies for Anthem, Epic, and Apex platforms.

You will provide technical and program leadership from proposal through delivery, serving as the primary engineering focal point for customers, PMO, and cross-functional teams. The role requires PMP/CAPM certification and 10+ years of experience in engineering or project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or similar.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering or project management roles.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering program execution across Centers of Excellence and external suppliers, ensuring successful delivery of technical, cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, program management, and senior leadership, providing engineering direction and resolving complex technical and program challenges.
• Define and manage program scope, schedules, resources, and budgets, maintaining integrated project plans and ensuring alignment with business and customer commitments.
• Drive program performance through risk management and proactive problem resolution, identifying issues and implementing corrective actions to protect cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
• Develop execution strategies and operational plans, partnering with PMO, CBT, and functional leaders to support program pursuits, launches, Annual Operating Plans, and long-term business objectives.
• Establish and monitor key program metrics, using data-driven decision making, Earned Value Management (EVM), and continuous improvement practices to enhance execution excellence and organizational performance.
