Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in US-CA-Brea seeks a Project Manager to lead multi-discipline, EPC and program management efforts from inception to completion. You will drive safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, and client relations while guiding staff and subcontractors.

You will establish project teams, manage RFP processes, develop schedules, monitor costs, and coordinate with clients and internal risk teams. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering, construction management or related field.
• 7 years of applicable experience on construction or EPC programs.
• Experience on construction project sites or program management in aviation, energy, government, or similar industries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project controls software.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership of multi-discipline projects from concept to completion.
• Establish project teams and coordinate activities across disciplines.
• Manage project communications with clients and stakeholders.
• Lead RFP package development, bid, and scope documents.
• Develop and monitor schedules, scope, and costs.
• Serve as primary client contact for coordination and budget.
• Manage prime/subcontract negotiations and change orders.
• Lead risk reviews with Risk Department.
• Oversee project controls, cost reporting, and progress tracking.
• Drive new business by expanding client relationships.
• Ensure compliance with safety programs and QA/QC.
• Mentor staff and ensure policy compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
