Job summary

Pape’ Kenworth, a premier medium and heavy-duty truck dealer, is seeking an Advanced Truck Technician / Mechanic for the swing shift to diagnose, repair, and maintain Class 7 & 8 trucks. You’ll lead by example, mentor other technicians, and ensure safety and quality on every job.

You will be responsible for complex diagnostics, engine/transmission work, electrical and air systems, and maximizing uptime for customers while upholding Pape’s standards and service excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working on medium/heavy‑duty class 7/8 trucks including engine repair.
• Basic computer knowledge; Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
• Self‑motivation and assertiveness.
• Ability to work under little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain medium and heavy Class 7/8 trucks.
• Lead by example while upholding safety, quality and professionalism.
• Mentor and serve as a technical resource for other technicians.
• Analyze complex mechanical/electronic malfunctions and plan repairs.
