Job summary

ConMet, a division of Amsted Industries, seeks an on-site technical representative for the AME team to own hub and drum machining processes across Monroe, USA and Monterrey, Mexico facilities. You will ensure process standards, tooling, inspection specs, and change readiness align with AME requirements to support launches and production readiness.

Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and operations to drive continuous improvement, supplier relations, and lean initiatives, while supporting

Responsibilities

• Standardize hub and drum machining processes with tooling, fixtures, and GD&T
• Develop AME equipment and process specs for each machining type
• Support CNC machine procurement, installation, and validation testing
• Lead engineering changes for launches, ensuring capability improvements
• Collaborate with plant QA, operations, and manufacturing for alignment with schedules
• Coordinate SPC/GR&R methods and aim for CpK>1.33 on key parameters
• Drive continuous improvements to yield and tool life; reduce scrap
• Provide weekly/monthly status reports to AME team and stakeholders
