Job summary

ConMet is seeking an on-site AME technical representative in Monroe, NC to own aluminum hub and iron drum machining for wheel end products, including equipment, tooling and inspection specifications and change readiness.

You will work with local manufacturing, quality engineering, and operations to ensure processes align with AME standards and support launches, CAPEX procurement, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, materials science or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of CNC aluminum machining experience.
• Experience with GD&T and metrology standards.
• Willingness to travel 25-50%.

Responsibilities

• Own machining process specifications and tool selection.
• Lead new product launch readiness and process capability improvements.
• Collaborate with plant quality engineering and operations.
• Support procurement and validation of new CNC equipment.
• Provide data-driven weekly/monthly reports to AME team.
