Job summary

Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. is seeking an Associate Actuary to lead actuarial projects across CT, MA, or MI in a hybrid work arrangement. This full-time, exempt role requires strong analytical problem-solving, data interpretation, and the ability to guide junior staff. Pursuit of FCAS is preferred.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, present results to management, and ensure regulatory compliance while advancing modeling techniques and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required for professional actuary role.
• ACAS designation or higher or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in actuarial disciplines such as pricing, reserving or predictive modeling.
• Advanced skills using Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Intermediate SQL programming skills to automate processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead meetings and influence partners; present findings.
• Understand data and identify root causes behind trends.
• Recommend improvements to ratemaking, reserve methods, or related processes.
