American Family Insurance seeks an Actuary on the Rate Indications team in a hybrid role based in Boston or Madison. You will lead complex pricing analyses for personal lines property, model development, and present recommendations to partners across the organization.

ACAS/FCAS designation and extensive actuarial experience in ratemaking, forecasting, and data modelling are required. The role offers relocation support, comprehensive benefits, and an opportunity to influence pricing strategies

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of property and casualty pricing, rates and industry trends.
• Experience with pricing, ratemaking, loss reserving, modelling or reinsurance.
• Statistical/actuarial analysis and data forecasting and modelling techniques.
• ACAS or FCAS designation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to recommendations and revisions to actuarial methodologies related to insurance pricing, ratemaking.
• Develop relationships with partners and provide insights to address business concerns.
• Explore new statistical models and data sources to deliver innovative solutions.
• Own the recurring process for indication development and rate reviews.
• Represent pricing for new products and data initiatives.
• Monitor industry trends affecting pricing strategies.
