Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) is seeking a Lead Accountant to supervise accountants and clerks across our finance teams in Nashville, Chicago, and Richardson. The role emphasizes workflow leadership, coaching, and process improvements.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Business with 3+ years of accounting experience, strong MS Office skills, and a proven ability to develop staff. This is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two remote, and sponsorship is not

• Lead accountants and accounting clerks, manage workflow and staff development.
• Provide input to goal setting, hiring/selection and performance reviews.
• Oversee daily/weekly accounting activities, resolve billing and balancing issues.
• Review critical processes such as delinquency monitoring, settlements, renewals, and journal entries.
• Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations; document processes and implement improvements.
• Train new employees on department functions and policies.
