Job summary

Cortica is seeking a Lead Behavior Technician – School Based Support to provide direct behavior-analytic services to students with autism in school settings. You will supervise, mentor, and model best practices for School Behavior Technicians while coordinating with BCBAs and educators to integrate strategies into classrooms.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience leading and managing direct reports.
• 1+ years of experience providing ABA services in school or clinical settings.
• Ability to obtain assigned safety training certification within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain BCAT or RBT credential within 30 days of employment, where required by the district.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct implementation of behavior-analytic services to students in one-on-one and group settings within school environments.
• Lead by example in implementing individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs aligned with students’ IEPs and educational goals.
• Support and mentor school-based BTs by modeling strategies, answering questions, and troubleshooting implementation challenges.
• Substitute in schools as needed to ensure continuity of services and provide high-quality support in the absence of assigned BTs.
• Collaborate with Behavior Analysts, educators, and school teams to integrate behavioral strategies into classroom routines.
• Travel between school sites within the designated service area.
• Oversee the day-to-day administrative supervision of school behavior technicians (SBTs) in the areas of performance management and related duties.
• Complete daily administration of SBT time off management and related scheduling responsibilities.
