Job summary

Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County is seeking a part-time 4-H Afterschool Program Lead Educator to provide comprehensive youth development opportunities in STEAM for K-12 students across multiple districts in Jefferson County, NY. The role includes curriculum delivery, lesson planning, and collaboration with teachers during academic time.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent education with 1 year transferrable/program experience.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License and ability to travel as needed.
• Ability to meet OCFS licensing requirements (SACC, etc.).
• Familiarity with 4-H youth development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver established 4-H STEAM programming to youth in grades K-12.
• Assist in lesson plan creation and teach innovative educational programs.
• Support the After-School Program Coordinator/Manager and other Educators.
• Maintain OCFS regulatory compliance and weekly reporting for the site.
