Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) seeks a Phase Manager to lead planning, execution, and delivery of 3D laser scanning projects. You will oversee field crews and office staff, ensuring quality, timelines, and cost efficiency.

You’ll serve as a client liaison, support proposal development and change orders, and drive staffing and budgeting efforts across projects. Strong leadership and technical insight are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3+ years of laser scanning experience.
• Proficiency with laser scanning registration using Leica and NavVis.
• Experience managing laser scanning deliverables.
• Previous leadership or team management experience in a laser scanning or geospatial environment.
• Proficiency with Revit or AutoCAD is a plus, but not required.
• Excellent communication skills across field and office teams.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Execute project work plans and monitor resource needs for 3D laser scanning projects.
• Oversee field crew scheduling and office staff coordination to meet deadlines.
• Manage hands-on laser scanning projects in the field.
• Train, mentor, and manage staff for technical growth.
• Communicate scope, safety, quality, and timelines to teams.
• Provide budget updates and resource utilization reports.
• Manage QA/QC for field data and deliverables.
• Review point clouds and geophysical data for accuracy.
