Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) is seeking a BIM Technician to create, manage, and coordinate Building Information Models for projects. You will develop 3D BIM models with Revit, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D, and work with field staff and project managers to ensure alignment with design intent and project deadlines.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of 3D modeling from laser scan data and proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks or similar BIM software.

Qualifications

Degree preferred in Civil Eng, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
3+ years of 3D modeling from laser scan data.
Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks).
Willingness to grow in a BIM career and learn field laser scanning.
Strong work ethic and accountability.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models using Revit, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D.
Collaborate with field staff, modelers, and project managers to align BIM with design intent.
Process data to SAM standards, evaluating accuracy and sufficiency.
Monitor field crew production and quality assurance.
Perform initial QC of field deliverables.
Coordinate with supervisor to meet client demands.
Occasionally travel to client sites.
