Job summary

X-energy is seeking a CAD Designer/Drafter to develop 3D models and 2D drawings for reactor/plant SSCs at the Gaithersburg site. You will coordinate with responsible engineers, prepare drawings for projects, and define production data packs while adhering to CAD standards and PLM tooling.

Ideal candidates bring extensive 3D CAD experience, proficiency in NX/SolidWorks/Creo and PLM systems, and a strong ability to collaborate across disciplines.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or high school diploma with relevant CAD drafting experience.
10+ years CAD/3D drafting experience is preferred.
Experience with 3D CAD software (UG/NX, SolidWorks, Creo) and PLM tools.

Responsibilities

Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for SSCs, plant layout, and equipment.
Assess manufacturability and assembly considerations during design.
Prepare manufacturing drawings and maintain CAD data in PLM.
Collaborate with engineers and other designers to ensure consistent standards.
Lead design validation and support for installation and fabrication.
