The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in an upscale, high-volume setting, fluent English, and deep knowledge of hospitality, food, and beverage service.

Position Summary

The Server is responsible for delivering knowledgeable, attentive hospitality and executing food and beverage service to the restaurant's standards.

The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, possesses strong food and wine knowledge, and has a proven ability to deliver service that creates memorable guest experiences in an upscale dining environment.

Scope

This position reports to front-of-house leadership and has no supervisory responsibility.

The Server manages their assigned tables and exercises judgment in guest service within house standards and the Employee Handbook; escalates guest concerns, alcohol-service issues, or operational problems to a Captain or Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Arrive on time, prepared, and with a positive, professional attitude.
• Greet guests warmly and provide knowledgeable, attentive service.
• Master the food and beverage menus, including preparation and ingredients.
• Adhere to all service standards and protocols as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Accurately take and enter orders; serve food and beverages swiftly and gracefully.
• Uphold legal standards for responsible alcohol service, including checking IDs.
• Assist with running food, clearing tables, and maintaining the dining room.
• Communicate effectively with teammates and management.
• Respond quickly to guest needs and concerns; escalates issues to management when necessary.
• Follow allergy protocols and food safety guidelines diligently.
• Perform side work, cleaning duties, and contribute to opening/closing tasks.
• Be available and responsive to emails, texts, and team communications.
• Be prepared to fill in as a support or server role when needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an upscale, high-volume restaurant.
• Deep knowledge of hospitality, food, and beverage service.
• Fluent in English; strong communication skills (spoken and written).
• Flexible availability including holidays and late nights.
• Excellent grooming and professional presentation.
• Understanding of workplace safety procedures and Department of Health compliance.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a fast-paced, high-volume fine dining room with continual guest interaction. Requires flexible availability including holidays and late nights.
