Job summary

Ludico in New York, NY 10013 is seeking a Bar Prep Team Member to support the bar program with fresh ingredient prep and organized inventory. You will work closely with Beverage leadership to ensure beverage operations are prepared for service and maintained to high standards.

Responsibilities include preparing juices and syrups, labeling and storing items, stocking bars, and maintaining cleanliness. Flexible availability is required for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Prepare fresh juices, purees, syrups, infusions, shrubs, and house-made cocktail ingredients according to established recipes.
• Wash, cut, and prepare fresh fruit garnishes, herbs, and specialty ingredients.
• Prepare cocktail batches and bottled ingredients as directed.
• Ensure all prep items are properly labeled, dated, and stored.
• Maintain consistency and quality across all beverage preparations.
• Stock bars, service stations, and beverage storage areas before, during, and after service.
• Organize liquor, wine, beer, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and bar supplies.
• Rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
• Assist with receiving beverage deliveries and organizing storage areas.
• Notify management of low inventory and supply needs.
• Assist with beverage inventory counts as assigned.
• Ensure bars are fully stocked and service-ready prior to opening.
• Polish bar tools, glassware, and specialty service equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, coolers, storage rooms, and service stations.
• Assist bartenders during service by replenishing supplies and maintaining organization.
• Complete opening, closing, and side work assignments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Position Summary

The Bar Prep Team Member is responsible for preparing fresh ingredients, stocking the bar, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean, efficient workspace.

This behind-the-scenes role is essential to the success of the bar program by ensuring bartenders have everything needed to deliver exceptional beverage service. This role works closely with the Beverage Manager, Head Sommelier, and Bartenders to ensure the beverage operation is fully prepared for each service.

Scope

This position reports to beverage leadership and has no supervisory responsibility.

The Bar Prep Team Member is responsible for the accuracy and quality of assigned beverage preparations; ingredient, quality, or supply concerns are escalated to the Beverage Manager or Head Sommelier.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Beverage Preparation

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Work Environment

Work is performed in bar-prep, storage, and service areas with exposure to knives, cleaning chemicals, and refrigerated storage. Requires flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
