Job summary

Ludico, a new restaurant concept from Tribeca Hospitality Group, is seeking a Food Runner in New York, NY. The role supports guest experiences in a fast-paced, upscale setting and ensures accurate delivery of dishes between kitchen and dining room.

You will work with front- and back-of-house teams, maintain presentation standards, and uphold health and safety guidelines while contributing to a team-focused dining room.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Food Runner in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting preferred.
• Excellent memory, attention to detail, and sense of urgency.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Professional appearance and impeccable personal hygiene.
• Basic knowledge of food service etiquette and upscale hospitality standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food from kitchen to tables accurately, efficiently, and with proper presentation.
• Ensure food items are complete, properly prepared, and presented according to standards before serving.
• Communicate effectively between the kitchen and front-of-house team.
• Support servers by refilling water, clearing plates, and attending to guest needs as directed.
• Understand and articulate menu items, specials, ingredients, and preparations.
• Maintain knowledge of table numbers, station layout, and service flow.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining room and service areas.
• Complete side work duties as assigned.
• Follow all company service standards, Department of Health regulations, and workplace safety guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Position Summary

The Food Runner helps deliver exceptional guest experiences, supports the flow of service, and contributes to a positive, team-focused dining room environment.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of upscale service and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Scope

This position reports to front-of-house and kitchen leadership and has no supervisory responsibility.

The Food Runner is responsible for accurate delivery and presentation of dishes between the kitchen and dining room; quality or timing issues are escalated to the kitchen or a manager immediately.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed in a fast-paced dining room and kitchen pass area, requiring continual movement between the kitchen and guest tables. Requires flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
