Shipco Transport Inc. in Long Beach, CA is seeking an experienced LCL Export Operations Coordinator to support the Operations department.

The role requires a proactive, motivated professional who can coordinate load planning, manage emails, and resolve issues across multiple warehouses and lines. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in LCL ocean export customer service or operations, strong communication, and solid geography knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in LCL ocean export customer service and/or operations, preferably from an NVOCC background.
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of ocean export customer service and/or operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, highly organized, detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
• Geography knowledge is crucial.
• Knowledge of IMDG and 49 CFR.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate load planning and warehouse operations for Shipco-controlled consol containers and customer-owned containers.
• Manage emails pertaining to holds, inquiries, warehousing services and distribute inquiries to appropriate parties.
• Address and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
• Manage intermodal containers with different Shipco warehouses within the US.
• Communicate with steamship lines, customers, agents and termini lines, and end workers for operations.

Shipco Transport Inc., a leading international cargo transportation company, has an immediate opening at our LAX branch located in Long Beach, California for an experienced LCL Export Operations Coordinator

We are looking for a candidate who is proactive, dynamic, highly motivated, reliable, and who understands and appreciates the importance of a team effort. The candidate should also possess the ability to ‘think outside the box’, think and work outside their local market, and be aware of various time zones and regional norms for all parties involved.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the load planning and warehouse operations for Shipco-controlled consol containers and customer-owned containers.
• Manage emails pertaining to O,S&D holds, transit/schedule inquiries, warehousing services and any distributing any other inquiries to the appropriate parties.
• Address and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
• Manage intermodal containers with different Shipco warehouses within US.
• Communicate with steam ship lines, customers, agents and termini lines, and end workers for the operations in the plane by the commercial y 20,

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in LCL ocean export customer service and/or operations is required, preferably from a NVOCC background, but a candidate with VOCC or freight forwarder experience will also be considered.
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of ocean export customer service and/or operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and an aptitude for a fast-paced, multi-tasking, customer service-minded environment.
• Knowledge of geography is crucial.
• Knowledge of IMDG and 49 CFR.
