Job summary

Shipco Transport Inc. in New Jersey (Kearny, NJ) is seeking an Airfreight Export Agent to join our Airfreight department at the EWR office. This role handles export transactions end-to-end, from quotes to invoicing, ensuring compliance and on-time performance.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in airfreight operations, strong communication, and a solid understanding of airline requirements and regulations. Hebrew language skills are a plus; we offer a fast-paced environment with opportunities

• Experience with export transactions and airline bookings.
• Excellent communication skills; able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Perform export transactions from start to finish, including quoting, arranging pick-ups, booking with airlines, setting up pre-bookings and consolidations, tracking, tracing, and invoicing shipments.
• Prepare accurate and competitive quotes while assisting with pricing strategies based on market conditions and customer needs.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of airline carrier requirements, routing options, and service levels to ensure proper booking and compliance.
• Ensure that all export compliance standards and TSA regulations are met for every shipment.
• Communicate effectively with agents, carriers, and customers to maintain efficient and compliant import and export processes.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve any issues or delays.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with company and regulatory standards.

Shipco Transport Inc. a leading international cargo transportation company, has an immediate opening at our EWR airfreight office located in Kearny, NJ for an experienced Airfreight Export Agent.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform export transactions from start to finish, including quoting, arranging pick-ups, booking with airlines, setting up pre-bookings and consolidations, tracking, tracing, and invoicing shipments.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Minimum 1-3 years of operations and customer service experience in airfreight cargo consolidations is required. Prefer experience from an airfreight consolidator or neutral wholesale background, but a candidate with NVOCC, VOCC, or freight forwarder experience may also apply.
• Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of daily airfreight operations, customer service, documentation, and government and carrier regulations.
• DG/Hazmat trained preferred.
• Must be able to work under pressure and enjoy a fast-paced, multi-tasking, customer service-minded environment.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills.
• Hebrew-speaking is preferred but not mandatory.
