Shipco Transport Inc. in Chicago, IL is seeking an experienced LCL Export Operations Coordinator to join our Operations team. You will maintain relationships with customers, steamship lines, truckers and warehouses, negotiate rates, and ensure timely responses and KPI targets are met.

This full-time role offers hourly compensation between $22 and $27, along with benefits and career growth opportunities. You will supervise the export workflow, ensure compliance with US export regulations, and

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of small to mid-size teams.
• Experience with ocean container load planning.
• Knowledge of IMDG CFR-49 regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
• Strong knowledge of geography.
• Minimum 5 years ocean transportation experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with customers, steamship lines, truckers and warehouses.
• Negotiate rates with vendors (steamship lines, truckers).
• Ensure department emails are addressed timely by the team.
• Coach team members in problem solving and manage department time/attendance.
• Ensure department KPI’s are met.
• Make loading/rolling decisions when financial and customer requirements apply.
• Maintain relationships with overseas agents and ensure agent agreements are followed.
• Select ocean carriers.
• Ensure shipments comply with US export laws and regulations.
• Implement procedures to improve productivity, quality, efficiency and profitability.
• Other duties as assigned.

Shipco Transport Inc., a leading international cargo transportation company, has an immediate opening at our CHIbranch located in Franklin Park, IL for an experienced LCL Export Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with customers, steamship lines, truckers and warehouse.
• Negotiating rates with vendors (steamship lines, truckers).
• Ensure Department emails are addressed timely by the team.
• Assist and coach Team members in problem solvingManaging Department time and attendance.
• Ensuring Department KPI’s are met.
• Decision maker for loading/rolling decisions where financial matters and customer requirements are considered.
• Maintain relationships with overseas agents and ensuring agent agreements are followed.
• Ocean carrier selection.
• Ensure shipments are processed in compliance with the laws and regulations governing for US Export Industry.
• Implement procedures to improve productivity, quality, efficiency and profitability.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Ability to lead and manage small to mid-size team.
