Job summary
Pace Analytical is seeking an instrument technician specializing in HPLC, UPLC, LC/MS and LC/MS/MS to maintain, repair and qualify analytical systems. The role requires advanced expertise and independent problem-solving, with a focus on quality and customer support.
The position involves calibrating, qualifying and improving instrument performance, managing parts inventories, and contributing to cross-functional projects. Travel may be required to support customers and sites.
Qualifications
- Advanced to expert knowledge of HPLC, UPLC, LC/MS and LC/MS/MS.
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve problems with analytical instruments.
- Experience drafting SOPs, calibration procedures and qualification protocols.
Responsibilities
- Maintains, diagnoses and repairs HPLC/UPLC/LC/MS systems to expert level.
- Calibrates and qualifies HPLC, UPLC, LC/MS systems.
- Implements improvements to analytical instruments and processes.
- Sources and inventories parts and supplies for instruments.
- Communicates troubleshooting results and solutions to customers and staff.
- Drafts SOPs, calibration and qualification documentation.
