Job summary
Pace Analytical Services, LLC is seeking an Instrumentation Technician to maintain, diagnose, calibrate, and repair analytical instruments (HPLC, UPLC, GC, IC). The role involves interfacing with customers, providing troubleshooting guidance, and implementing improvements to ensure instrument reliability.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, electronics, or a related field and at least 3 years of instrument experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, electronics, or a closely related field and at least 3 years analytical instrument experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Knowledge of laboratory and analytical instrumentation and metrology standards.
- Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and solving problems on HPLC, UPLC, GC and IC systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, diagnosis and repairs of HPLC, UPLC, GC and IC systems.
- Calibrate and qualify HPLC, UPLC, GC and IC systems.
- Recommend and implement improvements to instrumentation.
- Source and order supplies to maintain inventory.
- Interact with customers to explain troubleshooting results and solutions.
