Job summary

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division in Troy, IL is seeking a Layout Technician for the 3rd shift (Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.). The role includes operating sheet metal fabrication machines, reading shop orders and engineering drawings, and performing quality checks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with reading engineering drawings or blueprints is a plus.
• Experience with calibration equipment such as calipers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate sheet metal fabrication machines and read shop orders.
• Read and understand engineering drawings and perform quality checks.
• Use calibration equipment such as calipers to verify parts.
• Move, position, and lift parts weighing 10–50 lbs as required.
