Eaton’s ES GEIS BLDdivision is currently seeking a Layout Technician - 3rd Shift at our Troy, IL facility! The core hours are Sunday - Thursday, 11 p.m. - 7 a.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $25.44 per hour, plus an additional $0.50 shift differential.

What you’ll do:

The Layout Technician will operate sheet metal fabrication machines, read shop orders, read and understand engineering drawings, perform quality checks and use calibration equipment such as calipers, or any other equipment necessary to perform job functions.

In the functions, you will :

• Work with flat sheet metal (steel and aluminum)
• Run various machine operations (brake press, hammer flanger, buffalo roller, hand scribing & hand sheering)

Safety & Quality Training necessary, but not limited to :

• Types of Mechanical Power Presses
• Safeguarding Requirements
• Trip Devices
• Press Inspections
• Basic Operating Controls
• First Piece Quality Inspection
• In-process Quality Inspection
• Linknet training

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of one (1) year of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
