Job summary

Duke University School of Law Office of Student Affairs seeks a collaborative, student-centered Assistant Dean to lead programs that support academic success, personal development, and student experience. You will report to the Associate Dean for Admissions and Student Affairs and partner with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and university colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years in a university setting; broad higher education knowledge.
• JD degree plus 5 years in law school administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and assessment of student affairs programs and services.
• Direct major Law School programs and events (LEAD Week, commencements, mentoring, leadership retreats).
• Advise student organizations and governance; oversee budgets and compliance.
• Coordinate accommodations with the Disability Services Liaison and provide student guidance.
• Supervise staff and manage the Office of Student Affairs budget.
