Job summary

The University of Virginia School of Law seeks an Assistant Director of Student Affairs to join the Office of Student Affairs. The position reports to the Senior Assistant Dean and supports hallmark programs such as Roadmap Scholars and Community Fellows, orientation, graduation, and events, while managing social media and the weekly newsletter.

You will be the primary point of contact for student organizations (70+ groups), help coordinate budgets, funding, and reimbursements, and guide

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience advising student organizations or leadership programs preferred.
• Experience working in higher education preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support hallmark programs (Roadmap Scholars, Community Fellows) and events.
• Manage social media posts and the weekly newsletter.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for student organizations (70+ groups).
• Coordinate student organization budgets, funding, and reimbursements.
• Occasional weekend/evening work and domestic travel; in-person work with limited remote options.
