Job summary

The University of Virginia School of Law seeks an Assistant Director of Student Affairs to support flagship programs, coordinate events, and serve as a key contact for student organizations. This exempt, full-time role reports to the Senior Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and requires some weekend/evening work and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience advising student organizations or leadership programs.
• Experience providing academic or career counseling.
• Experience working in higher education preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Excel highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support programs like Roadmap Scholars Initiative, Community Fellows Program, orientation, graduation and other events.
• Manage social media posts and the weekly newsletter.
• Serve as a key contact for the Law School's student organizations and budgets.
• Coordinate student organization budgets, funding, and reimbursements.
• Occasional weekend/evening work and domestic travel as needed.
