The assistant/associate dean for student affairs provides leadership and operational oversight for the student lifecycle within the College/School, through matriculation, progression, graduation, and post-graduation readiness. This role is responsible for student advising, student conduct and appeals, clinical placement coordination, student engagement, and policy oversight. The assistant/associate dean supervises student affairs personnel and ensures student services and programs are delivered consistently, equitably, and in alignment with institutional, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
The assistant/associate dean for student affairs provides direct supervision and leadership for the Student Affairs Coordinator, Honors Committee, and Student Affairs/Recruitment Committee. Supervisory responsibilities include goal setting, performance management, workflow coordination, professional development, and alignment of unit activities with college and institutional priorities.
