Job summary

Troutman Pepper Locke is seeking a Business Development Specialist to join the Marketing and Business Development team in Chicago. The role supports the Insurance Transactional + Regulatory practice by developing strategies to cultivate clients and coordinate events, sponsorships, and speaking engagements.

You will work closely with communications to promote attorney successes and assist with thought leadership, client pitches, and RFP responses, while managing budgets and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or marketing preferred.
• Seven years of marketing and business development experience, preferably in a law firm.
• Strong project and process management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to cultivate business with current and prospective clients.
• Coordinate events, webinars, sponsorships, and speaking engagements with budgeting and logistics.
• Promote attorney successes with media and thought leadership activities.
• Coordinate thought leadership and blog posting for practice groups.
• Identify cross-practice opportunities to raise internal visibility.
