Job summary

Troutman Pepper Locke LLP is seeking a seasoned Business Development Specialist to support the Insurance Transactional + Regulatory practice. You will work closely with the Marketing and Business Development team to cultivate client relationships, plan events, and coordinate thought leadership activities.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (business/marketing preferred) and at least seven years of BD/marketing experience, ideally in a law firm or professional services setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or marketing preferred.
• Minimum of seven years of marketing and business development experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services.
• Strong project and process management experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing strategies to cultivate business with current and prospective clients.
• Plan and execute events, sponsorships, webinars, and speaking engagements with budget/logistics.
• Promote attorney successes with the communications team through media, publishing, and opportunities.
• Coordinate thought leadership and blogs with strategy and posting content.
• Identify cross-practice connections to raise internal visibility.
• Collect matter data for Foundation and maintain CRM-related activities and reports.
• Assist with RFP responses, client presentations, and pitch materials.
• Support marketing expense approvals and manage practice budgets.
• Respond to internal/external client inquiries promptly and follow up as appropriate.
