Job summary

Turo is seeking a Law Enforcement Response Specialist in Phoenix to be the primary contact for processing inbound law enforcement requests, subpoenas, warrants, and court orders while ensuring timely, lawful cooperation and protecting user privacy. The role requires meticulous documentation of disclosures, verification of requester identity, and coordination across Legal, Security, and Ops teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience in Operations, Trust & Safety, Law Enforcement, or a similar environment.
• Working knowledge of legal process types, including search warrants, grand jury and administrative subpoenas, court orders, and NDOs.
• Ability to accurately document case actions and clearly communicate disclosure decisions under legal and time pressure.
• Excellent written communication skills for law enforcement correspondence, business records certifications, and sworn declarations.
• Ability to adapt to and work across tools including Resolver, Dunlop, Sift, Kustomer, Google Workspace, SQL, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent requests while meeting strict SLAs.
• Commitment to high responsiveness, accuracy, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
• Bonus if you have Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with legal orders, including subpoenas, search warrants, and court orders.
• Experience processing law enforcement requests or working directly with law enforcement agencies.

Responsibilities

• Triage, verify, and process inbound law enforcement requests per SLA.
• Execute data production and disclosures within established matrices.
• Document case activity and chain of custody in Resolver.
• Verify requester identity before any disclosure.
• Route non-LER matters to the appropriate team.
• Identify and escalate complex or sensitive data requests requiring Legal review.
• Apply account actions at case closure per protocol.
• Provide same-day notification to the CIU Senior Manager for federal subpoenas.
• Maintain daily account monitoring for orders with expiry timelines.
