Qualifications

• Requires law degree or current ABA-accredited law school student with at least one year of study.
• Requires strong knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.
• Thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as Lexis and Westlaw.
• Hands-on familiarity with word processing, databases (document review & file management), spreadsheets, and imaging.
• Familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure; U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex legal research for the trial staff.
• Assists in preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, memoranda of law, etc.
• Assists in drafting of Program's decisions; foundation for further review.
• Reviews documents for relevance and privilege.
• Conducts research in statutory, regulatory, and case law.
• Discerns relevant issues in complex fact patterns.
• Assists attorneys with all phases of litigation.
