Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara is seeking a Laundry Wash Attendant to support daily laundry operations, sorting, washing, and drying linens while ensuring cleanliness and quality. The role requires attention to machine operation, load integrity, and timely output to maintain a steady supply of fresh linens for the resort.

You will handle different wash cycles, monitor drying times, and ensure proper chemical usage.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Knowledge of commercial laundry operations.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled linens into appropriate wash categories and load/unload washers and dryers with proper weights.
• Prepare wet linens for finishing by handling sheets, table linens, and napkins for ironing equipment.
• Select correct wash cycles and chemicals for each linen type, monitor load size and drying times.
• Deliver clean, dried linens to designated areas for folding or further processing.
• Operate and maintain laundry equipment with routine cleaning and proper shut-down procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area with available chemicals and supplies.
• Keep daily records of laundry activities and comply with Four Seasons standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in training to improve skills.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

About the role

As a Laundry Wash Attendant, supports daily laundry operations by efficiently sorting, washing, and drying a variety of linens in accordance with cleanliness, safety, and quality standards. This role ensures proper machine operation, accurate load handling, and consistent output to maintain a smooth, reliable flow of clean linens for the operation.

What you will do

• Sort soiled linens into appropriate wash categories, identify stained or damaged items, and accurately load and unload washers and dryers while ensuring proper load weights.
• Prepare wet linens for finishing by shaking, straightening, and feeding sheets, table linens, and napkins into ironing equipment.
• Select correct wash cycles and chemical formulas for each linen type, transfer washed items to dryers, and monitor load size and drying times based on fabric and weight.
• Deliver clean, dried linens to designated areas for folding or further processing.
• Operate and maintain laundry equipment by performing routine cleaning, including clearing lint traps, following proper start‑up and shut‑down procedures, and reporting equipment issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked work area, ensuring all necessary chemicals and supplies are readily available.
• Maintains accurate daily records of laundry activities.
• Keeps the work area clean, tidy, and fully compliant with Four Seasons standards.
• Collaborates with colleagues and participates in training sessions to enhance technical and behavioral skills.
• Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to function under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions
